    Before elaborating on the topic at hand, introductions are in order. First of all, there is Sinergy, an absolutely mind-blowing Finnish power metal band. Perhaps you have heard some of their songs – Midnight Madness, The Warrior Princess, Last Escape are good examples. As you can already tell, their music has a tinge of epic adventure quality mixed with fantastic guitar riffs. Then there is At Vance, another impressive power metal band with German origins. Sinergy tends to experiment with black metal while At Vance seems to prefer a more ballad-style music. Noteworthy songs? Answer Me, Cold as Ice and Lost in Your Love. There is also Rough Silk, yet another power metal group from Germany. The themes of their melodic tunes flick between darker topics, with an occasional reference to the paranormal world. Nosferatu, Walls of Never and The Fiddler on the Skeletal Horse are just some interesting mentions. Read more

  • Before They Were Famous Music Video Cameos

    All actors have two things in common when they start out on their road to stardom:  they are broke, and they love to be in front of the camera.  It's a dangerous combination that often leads to embarrassing clips that tend to rear up later in their career.  Since music videos don't (normally) require any kind of speaking (or talent, for that matter) they are an ideal way for unknown and inexperienced actors to earn some cash and add a credit to their portfolio of work.

    Most actors, even those who are hugely successful now, have had to start somewhere.  Normally that somewhere is a job that they later quickly scratch off their resumés, but fortunately for us, TV, magazines and the internet aren't so quick to forget, and there are plenty of clips available to watch fledgling stars in the clumsy developing stages of their career before Hollywood came a-calling.
